Thank you for your interest in Let’s Speak Dutch.

We are Mylène Hanson and Marlies Zegelaar (we, us, our). We are both Dutch trainers and we use this website as a platform to display our services and invite students to join our courses. That’s why we have laid out here what personal information we collect, when this happens, for what reasons, how we use it and how we keep it safe.

Your Personal Details
We collect, save and use your contact details, such as email address and phone number to inform you about the course you subscribe to, to answer your questions and to send you an invoice. We will only do this once you have submitted your data to our contact form.  We will not use your contact details for other purposes.

Use of Analytics and Cookies
We use some necessary and functional cookies for our website, which allow you to navigate and use key features on the site. Furthermore, we use Squarespace Analytics as a reporting platform to get insight into how our website is performing. Through this tool, we collect metadata about the number of visitors, pageviews and popular content. To us this is vital information, as it allows us to constantly improve my website and content.

Parties Who Have Access to Your Data
The only parties that we share your data with are our website hosting company Squarespace, and we store your details in iCloud and our Gmail account. By their own accounts, these companies comply with the GDPR.

Retaining Your Data
We will retain your contact details until you tell us to delete it. If you want access to, correct or delete your personal data stored in the aforementioned systems, please let us know and we will respond to your request within 28 days.

Securing Your Data
We have taken appropriate technical, physical and organizational measures to make sure your data is safe at all times. We intend to comply with the demands of article 32 of the GDPR. 

Right to File a Complaint
If you have doubts about the way we process your data, please contact us through the contact details below. You also have the right to file a complaint with the privacy authorities in The Netherlands or the responsible authorities in the country you live in.

Updates to This Privacy Policy
This privacy policy was created on July 27, 2018. It will be updated from time to time to reflect changes in technology, business operations or any other reason we determine is necessary or appropriate. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of the privacy policy. We encourage you to check back periodically to review this privacy policy for any changes since your last visit.
